We are in a sense grateful for MLNP coming into our lives this year because now we will be able to document our sexual evolution and share it. There’s so much freedom of expression in the bedroom, the needs are anticipated and fulfilled to satisfaction and going with the flow is the name of the game. And that’s how we play when we record – we take a day off, we set the cameras, dress up for flair and then just make love.

When we originally heard about the interest to make a documentary about a NYC couple that is part of the MLNP community, we were truly honored by the nomination to participate. It raised a few questions for us in terms of keeping our identities private, whether we would be able to keep our masks on, etc. but once we had those details sorted out we were fully on board.

We met with Bustle crew the first time to talk about the project and bounce creative ideas off of each other. The authors had a rough concept of what and how they wanted to show everything and we filled in the blanks. Most importantly, we had a long discussion about #realworldsex vs porn and what it means in today’s internet infused reality to record your most intimate moments and post them online to share with others. We had  good chemistry with the crew and felt really comfortable opening up about our take on the topic.

They returned a few weeks later on a day we were planning to shoot a new video, as capturing the preparatory process and method was of utmost interest to them. I put on my make-up, mask and the wig and we had an impromptu interview. Most importantly we showed our technical set up which was surprisingly unobtrusive and intimate. We have never talked to anyone about this before and certainly not on camera so it was quite interesting to share our secrets in such a manner. We had agreed ahead of time that we would not be shooting any of our typical stuff while the crew was there – since that might have been awkward and totally against our belief of capturing the #realworldsex which, after all, normally does not happen in front of a live audience. So as we were all set and ready to go at it, we said goodbye to our guests and went on to enjoy what we do quite well on our own.

The final time we met with the Bustle crew was during the creative process of editing the video. As I had some “post- production” ideas and was running into road block after road block, we talked about the challenges of making artistic decisions and final selections of what makes it into the video. At the moment the movie is still not completed due to personal reasons, but I hope to get back to it in the near future.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. As a couple of exhibitionists at heart we really had no problem baring our souls with regards to the motivation and the process behind making movies for MLNP. The most surprising part for me was having three strangers watching me edit quite graphic scenes of myself and my husband on my computer and feeling absolutely no shame.

We hope that the final documentary normalizes, explains the motivation and gives all the best reasons for why anyone should consider joining our MLNP community of regular people who after all are like everyone else– if a bit more shameless than most.

MakeLoveNotPorn sex videos are all about removing the taboo and inauthenticity from our culture’s views about sex and recognizing the act as something honest, beautiful, fun, and worth celebrating. It’s not dirty. It shouldn’t induce guilt or shame. It’s should never make anyone feel humiliated or degraded. It’s not something that should be swept under the proverbial rug with embarrassment. And its not something about which the primary form of education should be produced by scripted actors in studios, in videos in which the male orgasm is viewed as the defining act of a sexual encounter. In our newest video we explore the startup company, which is currently in beta testing and rapidly gaining popularity, and we talk to a couple of MakeLoveNotPorn stars about what it’s like to make sex videos for the Internet.

MakeLoveNotPorn (or MLNP) is something of an anomaly: Though the website is quickly establishing itself in the porn community, MLNP is completely antithetical to the type of porn most people think of when they think of porn: Raunchy, male-centric sexfests that often leave the viewer feeling kind of queasy after watching.

MLNP aims to be the exact opposite of that. The videos posted on the site for $5 a pop are real-world sex, says founder and CEO Cindy Gallop. “Real world sex videos on MakeLoveNotPorn.tv are not porn, they’re not amateur, they’re simply about doing what you do on every other social media platform, which is capturing what goes on in the real world,” says Gallop.

If you’ve read about sex tapes recently, chances are the words “sex tape” were paired with “leaked” and “celebrity.” We get it: Between those constant scandals and a less-than-airtight understanding of how the cloud works, filming yourself having sex sounds like a bad idea at best and a life-ruiner at worst.

The folks at Make Love Not Porn are trying to change that perception. Founded by Cindy Gallop in 2012, the site allows you to share and watch #realworldsex — that is, intimate sex tapes submitted by people who aren’t porn actors. Billing itself as “pro-sex, pro-porn, and pro-knowing the difference,” MLNP is a revolutionary community attempting to promote better sex for everyone. And for starters, they claim that filming yourself having sex leads to a much hotter sex life.

So who better to give us some tips for filming a great sex tape than Sarah Beall, Madame Curator for MLNP? Aside from having the best job title we’ve ever heard of, Beall is responsible for vetting every single #realworldsex video submission on MLNP — which means she’s seen a whole lot of naked people doing it every which way. She can also attest to how and why filming yourself can lead to better sex. “It facilitates communication,” Beall says. “It opens people up to talking about their desires and things that maybe they’ve been thinking about trying but maybe haven’t had the nerve to bring up. We’ve had people who have gone and shot a video, watched it back and then shot another one right away, because they got so turned on.”

If you’re up for giving it a try, we’ve tapped into her knowledge and that of some MLNP stars, to get you going.

1. Communicate with your partner beforehand, and don’t film anything without consent. This shouldn’t even need to be said but: don’t film yourself having sex with someone if they don’t know about it. It’s seriously fucked up and very illegal. If you and your partner have talked it through, and you’re both game, then decide what you’ll do after filming. Are you gonna watch the tape once then delete it, upload it to MLNP, or invite all your friends over for wine and cheese and a screening? (If it’s the latter, your friends sound fun.) Make sure you’ve talked this all through beforehand — and if either of you want to delete it at any time, it’s done, no questions asked.

2. Morning sex or afternoon delight are best. “Nothing beats natural light,” say seasoned MLNP stars LoveandLasagna. “And try to avoid recording towards the source of lightning.”

3. Make sure the camera’s on. “My camera likes to turn itself off if nobody is playing with it…I missed multiple orgasms and cool shots because of that!” laments MLNP star Corkle. Don’t let this happen to you.

4. Get equipped. It’s not necessary, but if you’re a gearhead and want to take your tape to the next level, Beall recommends a king-sized GorrillaPod, a universal glif, a pocket spotlight, amobile boom mic, and a lens clip for wide-angle shots.

5. Film around your sex life. Can you think of a worse buzzkill than being half-naked with your face planted in between your partner’s legs, then suddenly jumping out of bed to get the tripod set up? “Sex in the real world comes out of a real-world context, so we ask people to shoot a little bit before and after,” says Beall. Having the camera running before you start to get it on to help you relax and get comfortable. “When you’re turning a camera on, it shouldn’t really be different from what you do in your everyday lives,” she adds.

If you have visited me here occasionally in the past, you will already know how much I love the message of . . . and the #realworldsex videos on MakeLoveNotPorn.tv. And chances are, especially as you are reading this page, you will also possibly share my view about just how important an open and honest discussion about our sexuality really is.

Because, whilst I never felt ashamed of my lifestyle, I suppose that up until a few years ago I did sometimes feel a little . . . well not guilty about it exactly . . . but awkward or “unusual” I suppose is a better way of describing it. But then I happened across Cindy Gallop’s wonderful and inspirational video-speeches at the TedConference (omg from 2009!!!) and (a little-more recently) at TEDxOxford2012. Those videos had me hanging-on, AND agreeing with, every word. I knew just how much difference embracing my sexuality, and sharing every desire, every feeling and every fantasy with my husband had changed, and enhanced, our lives together. And how we’d often both wished . . . usually in the wonderfully loving and winding-down post real-world-sex moments . . . that others could share and enjoy the same sort of feelings of fun, and fulfilment, as we did.

So discovering Cindy’s MLNP and lots and lots of other like-minded people, sharing and . . . most importantly of all . . . celebrating their own real-world-sex moments was, quite simply . . . a revelation!!!

Because . . . as MLNP so simply puts it:

MLNP is of the people, by the people, and for the people who believe that the sex we have in our everyday life is the hottest sex there is. We are not porn – porn is performance (often an exceedingly delicious performance, but a performance nonetheless). We are not ‘amateur’ – a label that implies that the only people doing it right are the professionals and the rest of us are bumbling idiots. So I was really thrilled to be invited along for cocktails one evening last week for the MLNPstar London Get Together hosted by Cindy and the lovely Madam Curator Sarah.

And it was also so lovely meeting fellow MLNP-stars lovesurfing and Mr&Mrs Lau and enjoying some wonderfully exotic looking, and tasting, cocktails . . . and chatting for several hours not just about sex and MakeLoveNotPorn, but all those other things that #realworldpeople in #realworldrelationships talk about. Family, travel, work . . . and well, yes . . . play!

And in a way this evening like, any other evening sharing fun-company and lots and lots of fun-cocktails, encapsulated just what MakeLoveNotPorn is all about . . . RealWorldPeople.

Hello, Don here. Because Doris is quite busy. As you may notice from the title of our new little #bathtime film: “#Metime Quickie (busy mom in the bathtub).” Since the end of summer, we’ve added a new variableto our household equation. Doris’ mom, because of several cascading health issues, turned blind and we brought her to live with us. Doris is pampering her more than she does with the twins. It was about time for them to grow up and take some responsibilities, which they do! As about their big sisters, one switched her studies from Austria to Germany, the other comes to visit every weekend, to see and help her granny. You won’t believe how comforting it is to sense solidarity in your kids.

There is a social phenomenon concerning 50-something women who must take care of kids and parents at the same time. To deal with work and the mirror. To feel crushed by the clock at night, in the morning,through the days and evenings. Sounds hard, and so it is if you perceive it this way. Some of Doris’ friends talk about experiencing the same sandwich situation in their own families. They call themselves the sandwich generation. Well, I guess that any generation, when crossing midlife, walks its sandwich time. Being in the middle of life (or something) is like being sandwiched, after all. Wondering how other generations of women (and men) had solved their mundane chores and worries, in harmony with their kids and parents, in tune with their souls and bodies, in synergy with the universe and the beyonds.

Is there a pill? Is there a button? Is there a magic incantation capable to free moms from the sandwich? Nope. No pill, no button, no magic, no man-made machine. Nothing of the artificial can help us, no synthetic chemistry can substitute nature.

How about a hot bath?, called on short notice, on a Friday evening when twins were out to their extracurricular classes and their granny was dozing in her room. Unpacking the halogen lamp, fixing it on the sink in a quite precarious position, I waited for her to come in the bathroom after suggesting to mom that the radio volume was too low and should be turned a bit up.

Imagine you’ve been awake for more than 12 hours sitting on the back of a SUV watching the colors of the sky and the plants on the road change, being transformed into new ones. And when you turn to the mirror on a bathroom inside a mini market in the middle of nowhere…. that magnificent constant, impotent evolution you perceived before is being projected in fast forward on an infinite loop inside your pupils.  That’s what happened to me this past two weeks Mini and I went on a road trip from Las Vegas, Nevada to Austin, Texas.

So, to get you in the context, we had some troubles that were bothering us for a while, and that were not discussed before this trip. And so we were having a nice ride on an emotional roller coaster during this time.

We started in Las Vegas because we were interested in the Life Is Beautiful Festival, and such was that curiosity, we decided to buy tickets to this year’s edition. Las Vegas was a shock for me because of the contrast between the almost forgotten old downtown and the new heart of the city (the grown up Disney version). The sight that impressed me the most was seeing all those old people wasting their last breaths in front of awful slot machines, inhaling that cheap-scented air conditioning that’s on every casino.

When Las Vegas was finished with us the road trip, and the loneliest part of the trip, began. We spent an accumulate of approximately 36 hours on the road. Spending time with others inside a car doesn’t always mean to feel –or even be– in their company. During that time I decided to dive into myself and make a quick recount of the actions, feelings, desires and needs I have in order to evolve into a better and future version of myself (from I point of view, that is). And so I did. Seeing one’s self for the first time can’t be better described as Michael Ende does in The Never Ending Story. After discovering more than I could carry on my language, a new inner trip began; one that will continue for a while…

My name is Christopher Zeischegg. I used to be (and sort of still am) the porn performer, Danny Wylde.

Some time last week, I filmed myself jerking off, and then uploaded the video to MakeLoveNotPorn.tv. I included an introductory sequence, in which I said, “This is the last clip I’ll be submitting to Make Love Not Porn, or – I think – any pornographic or vicariously pornographic website… I’ll be sharing, in the very near future, why that is.”

A day after the video went live, a London-based commercial production company, Somesuch & Co, published my essay, ‘On The Moral Imperative To Commodify Our Sexual Suffering’ – a horror/satire piece on the financial collapse of the sex industry. There was a link, at the bottom of the page, to an accompanying short film, titled,‘Danny Wylde.‘ The film depicted my real-life physical mutilation at the hands of a Los Angeles artist, and friend, Luka Fisher.

I’d meant for the essay/short film combo to be an ‘explanation’ for the end of my digital sex-tape contributions. Though, in hindsight, I can see how the whole endeavor might have come off as vague, or completely unrelated.

MakeLoveNotPorn’s curator and community manager, Sarah Beall, asked that I deliver a statement.

MakeLoveNotPorn has allowed me to (very infrequently) share videos of my real world sex, post-porn-performance.

As I understand it, MakeLoveNotPorn functions as both entertainment and a sort of sex-education-for-adults. It’s a platform to discuss the differences between porn and real world sex, and to explore their intersectionality. MakeLoveNotPorn is also a business model designed to showcase such variations through explicit, user-submitted, video content. It’s can be used the same way as porn, while also being an alternative to porn.

For MakeLoveNotPorn to achieve its goal of combatting – or at least balancing – the effects of pornography on real-life sexual encounters, it requires the participation of real-life people. And a lot of them.

I was a great addition to the site’s launch. Because I was able to explicitly present the dichotomy between pornographic, performative sex and my personal, at-home sex with my (then) partner.

My most recent, and final, contribution is personal and erotic, and – in my opinion – one of my better masturbation videos available to the public. Though, it furthers the MakeLoveNotPorn ‘conversation’ in no special way. (We respectfully disagree! – Madam Curator).

In the most basic terms, it’s a hot piece of jerk-off material… hopefully.

But jerk-off material isn’t exactly hard to come by these days. And I assume I could still sell my cum shot to at least a few traditional porn studios. It’s the sociological ramifications of MakeLoveNotPorn that interest me most.

Though, as I’ve slowly reintroduced sex work into my life over the past year, I’ve had to acknowledge a certain reality: the ‘conversation’ is not always good for the career. Radical politics, sex work demystification, etc… is great for getting published and for speaking on panels at sex-geek conferences. Perhaps, it does some good to further human rights campaigns. In my experience, it doesn’t help much with getting paid to fuck.

Like any good hooker, I love a conversation about sex. But mostly, I just want a rich man (or woman) to look at me like a piece of meat. Because that’s good for business. As I grow older, I tend to think more about the future; about how I might one day be a person who can pay off his student loans.

Because I work in pornography, I often ask myself, “What is still valuable? Do I have anything to give that isn’t available – for free – everywhere else?”

The answer is, “Maybe.”

To figure it out for sure, I plan to de-digitalize my future sex work and call it something else.

That means ‘On The Moral Imperative To Commodify Our Sexual Suffering’ is more than satire. And that the Pornhub-bred consumer stays, forever, in the dark.

After receiving a three part (!) video series showcasing hannable’s first experimentation with BDSM-style #realworldsex, we asked them if they would be so kind as to write a blog post talking about their experience leading up to this kinky rendezvous. They say communication is key to any relationship. Growing up, I always figured this meant telling someone how you feel or explaining why you’re angry, but I never made the connection that communication was key when it came to sex.

To begin, I’d like to give everyone the (in my biased opinion) cute way Mr. hannable and I met. Long story short, I worked at a bar that he frequently visited. I recently had a chance to talk to Lily LaBeau, an adult performer who is currently taking a break from porn to work on a documentary about her life behind the porn scene. She is also one of the women who recently bravely spoke out about the harassment she faced from fellow porn star James Deen. I first knew I wanted to talk to Lily during an interview with Sarah Beall, the Madame Curator at MakeLoveNotPorn.TV. She told me Lily is one of the handful of porn stars who contributes “real world sex” videos. MLNP is a streaming website that is changing the game by offering something new called real world sex, where real couples upload videos of their best moments in the bedroom (or the forrest or their car or wherever). Real world sex claims to be different from amateur porn because the term “amateur” implies that only porn stars know how to have good sex. The streaming service has proven this of course isn’t true with the growing collection of very beautiful, sometimes hilarious, and always hot sex videos found on their site.

So, on my quest to find out the difference between porn sex and real world sex, I talk to Lily over gluten-free scones and coffee.

Vera: Are “porn sex” and “real world sex” the same thing?

Lily: Right now I’m actually working on something to showcase the difference between having porn sex and having sex for pleasure. You could call it a personal challenge for MakeLoveNotPorn. Basically, in my personal time, I want to shoot sex scenes with porn stars who I love to have sex with, in order to show people: this is how we actually have sex in our real lives. The sex isn’t simple or boring, but it’s just for our pleasure, it’s just for fun. We’re not worrying about cameras or about what angles look good. It’s just about being weird and perverted together. So I’m hoping the viewers like that.

I heard a story about how you were too sore from work to have vaginal intercourse with your boyfriend at the time, so you made a video of him introducing you to anal.

Yes! Danny Wylde and I were in a relationship. He’d been in the business for 5 years and had dated a female performer before me, so he understood everything. For example, sometimes you work a lot and your pussy gets sore—plain and simple. But you still want to have sex, you still want to be close, and you still want to be perverted together, and you find ways to do that. So we made it special and he came in my ass. Can you really make money from posting on MLNP? Or is this more for fun? I know MakeLoveNotPorn.TV is like YouTube where they split the profit with the video uploader.

The way I look at it is: it’s great that you can be as silly or serious as you want, and it can turn into a really nice chunk of money for you. It really is profitable. I think it’s important when you are being vulnerable to the world that you get paid in return. And you have to feel like you’re doing it for a reason. A lot of porn stars don’t necessarily want to make love—or, at least they don’t want to do it on camera. So MLNP offers an alternative. As a sex worker, first and foremost I make money off my body. And within that, a sex workers will find their niche and the thing they specifically like. That’s why we [adult performers] are independent contractors; we live a life we like. I like the making love, I like real world sex, I like the mushy kissing and breathing. I love taking my time and having beautiful love making sessions, and I don’t get that from porn.

Do you think giving everyday couples the opportunity to make money from sex is destigmatizing sex work?

Yes, it’s helping. It’s all helping. Anything you can do to say “sex is okay” and “let’s share in it” and “it’s alright let’s talk about it”—all of that is helping. There’s a huge stigma around sex, let alone sex work and making money off of it. So I think MLNP is great. Cindy [Gallop] is so funny, she’s always trying to convince people to make these real world sex videos. I think it just takes having one or two people with more of a known name to make the consider it.

My wife and I have submitted five videos to MLNP, and we’re almost out. If I had known, 30 years ago, how much we’d enjoy these so many years later, I would’ve had a camera permanently set up.

Our videography happened for 3 years in the 1980s when we were in our 20s. We used wedding money to buy a VHS camcorder. Before we tied the knot, we used a borrowed camcorder for a couple of tries. Nothing fancy, just hit record and go. I edited these long tapes into manageable portions for MLNP.

I’ve relished watching on-screen shags ever since I had a sexual awakening during a cinema visit to see Titanic when I was 10. Predictably, tentatively browsing the web for ‘dicks’ and ‘sex’ doesn’t explode my impression that pornography can be toxic. In fact, it makes me more certain watching mainstream porn is about the most detrimental sex and relationship education a person can have. So much of it normalises verbal and physical aggression, muddies the issue of consent and casts women as passive objects. It creates warped expectations of real-life sexual encounters (which can’t offer unending novelty at a click, and are actually full of smells, emotions, hair, fluids and other people with complicated desires). Basically, mainstream porn is the ultimate sausage-factory industry, one worth nearly £70 billion globally – one I refuse to endorse.

However, a new wave of porn made by women (and the occasional feminist man) for women promises smart, personality-driven content that empowers females and promotes role equality. Silencing women’s sexuality or demanding we subscribe to a testosterone-fuelled male model of sexual liberation (one that devalues commitment and the female orgasm) no longer flies. We’re finally shouting about gender gaps in every sphere – sexual fulfilment included. Gradually, room is being made for porn that’s both stylish and smutty, obscene and intelligent, romantic without being conventional: porn I can get off on without qualms. So I’ve scoured the web for it so you don’t have to…

I know I’ve posted about MakeLoveNotPorn many times before, not just regularly on my own pages, but also here at Wicked Wednesday on several occasions in the past . . . So I feel a little guilty about mentioning it again. Or, if not guilty exactly, then slightly uneasy about being accused of being boring, or repetitive, or self-centered.

But . . . this week’s theme at Wicked Wednesday is “Porn” (do you watch? Does your partner? Do you mind? Do you watch it together? Do you get anything it? Do you think it is good or bad?).

So, of course, I just couldn’t resist mentioning it again . . . after all we’ve all watched it haven’t we? Certainly, I’m sure that if you are reading here then you will have watched porn . . . because it is part of everyday life isn’t it? Part of the #realworld . . . unavoidable, inescapable, constantly hinted at/flirted with, in all it’s softcore connotations in our mainstream media (television, papers, magazines, books and film) or easily accessible in all it’s hardcore connotations here on the internet (on our phones, laptops, tablets and smart televisions).

Porn, like all entertainment-forms in our modern world, is always just a few seconds . . . a few clicks away. And that’s what it is isn’t it? . . . just entertainment?

But isn’t entertainment, by it’s very nature, an amplification . . . an exaggeration . . . of real-life? Song, words, art, film, making those moments of “entertainment” seem larger than life?

And isn’t that the attraction, the magnet, that draws us all . . . that larger than life, excitement or thrill, that we all wish for?

But, for me at least, that is also what is worrying about most mainstream(ing) available porn. It IS an exaggeration . . . it isn’t actually #realworld at all.

Most of us here will, of course, be reassuring ourselves that we realise those images twisting and writhing and jumping across our screens are just an exaggeration, just entertainment . . . something to thrill to, without actually aspiring to or demanding of our own partners and loved ones, stroke-for-stroke, thrust-for-thrust! At least I hope we all realise . . .

Because surely the best porn of all is the porn (PurelyOutrageousReallyNatural) we make for ourselves. Porn that is exciting, satisfying, thrilling, fulfilling, respectful and LOVING with, or for, ourselves or our partners. The sort of Porn that more and more people are sharing with the world on MakeLoveNotPorn.tv . . . a place where #realworld people are celebrating having actual #realworldsex, without feeling the need (or perhaps the pressure) of having to replicate one of those “mainstream-ing sites”.

I realise that you may feel that my championing of MLNP.tv again here, and constantly on my blog-pages, is perhaps the “Pot-calling-the-Kettle-Black” or simply a case of self-promotion . . . so do please click-away now . . . because I truly do think the ethos of MakeLoveNotPorn is so important . . . and I urge everyone to spend a few moments to listen and discover more about it from the lovely Cindy Gallop and her launch of MLNP at TED2009.

Well…where to begin? I have been quite the sexual adventurer over the past couple of years. I would say I have always had a bit of an exhibitionist streak in me. Even from a young age when I didn’t know what I was doing. I remember when I was about 8 years old I heard my parents downstairs with a couple of their friends having a chat and I decided it was a good idea to go downstairs and parade around the living room totally naked…much to my parents shock and dismay! I’m not suggesting that this was a purely sexual act or a sexual act at all but I don’t know why I did it…but it was a total spontaneous and natural moment to me. Other than this I have felt mostly an excrutiatingly crippling self-consciousness and shyness so it seems almost a paradox to me that I have this desire to display myself also. Or maybe they go hand in hand.

Anyway to cut a very long story short, years and years and one very long and loving relationship later, I find myself in my 30’s and feel like I have only just come to terms with my sexuality. And am now getting over my shame surrounding it. It even in some ways unfortunately caused the end of my relationship. But it was something I just had to explore. It was too much of an irrepressible curiosity within me and a journey that I would have loved to have taken my partner along with me for, but alas I was venturing into areas that he couldn’t deal with. So although it was very sad we just had to part ways.

So I’ll get to the point… I began to collaborate with photographers to do nude and erotic photoshoots. I am a musician and was in a band for a number of years in, which I ended up doing a nude shoot for a magazine. I so enjoyed it that I began to seek out doing it again for myself. That was a couple of years ago and since then I have worked with a number of photographers and have built up quite the portfolio which I show on tumblr. I also came across a few things and people on the internet that really appealed to my sexuality…but really only a handful of things.

Most pornography and sexual imagery I had seen up until then really did not appeal to me at all. It occasionally turned me on, but only in a way that eating McDonalds satisfies a particular sort of hunger sometimes. You would never want it as your only option! I began to wonder why there wasn’t more things out there that appealed to my own connection to sex.

And my musings on this subject really began to open my mind and lead to explore just what my own connection was and to try and distinguish what I had been avoiding through feelings of shame or fear of judgement and what I really liked to do.

I have learnt a lot through doing the shoots which occasionally ended up with a sexual encounter between the photographer and I. This never happened without it being my full and conscious and natural choice. I never felt coerced. Anyway I could go into this subject in a lot more detail but I am here to talk about this one particular sexual encounter! But I felt it necessary to give a bit of background to this as he was one of these photographers who I met right at the beginning of my journey.

I responded to his advert looking for models on craigslist. I think I had only done one shoot before this which wasn’t particularly successful as a photo shoot but it was fun never the less. No sexual encounter happened in this one but I did end up being a gardener for that guy! That’s another story! So really this was my first proper shoot. I really loved his work so I was excited and also scared as I really had little experience and had no idea what to expect. I met him first for a coffee to make sure I felt comfortable that he was not a psycho or anything and then we went to the flat where he was staying. He was very intense and quite quiet but I think that helped me in stepping over the hurdle from pleasant conversation into another space where I could focus on the job in hand. He also helped me by giving me a few suggestions and a bit of direction, said in a very masterful but gentle way and also slightly mysterious with his face always hidden behind the camera. His imagery was quite surreal so there were moments of fun too using props like a waste bin and a pomegranate.

He then also used some liquid latex on me and bounded me with electrical tape. I liked how precise he was, and the amount of care he took in applying the tape. I also enjoyed the smell of the liquid latex… the whole experience basically I found to be a very sensual and erotic experience that turned me on a whole lot! I knew that he could tell I was turned on and there was also a moment where I could tell he was attracted to me.

But neither of us did anything about it that day. I left the shoot feeling elated! I felt good that I managed to go to a place where I lost some of my inhibitions and it felt like just a nice way to spend time with someone. Why not?! When I got home I realised I had left my bag of clothes there! And so I had to go back and get it. It was then that we had another chat without shooting and decided to meet up again and maybe watch films etc. It’s funny, I think he knew before I did that I was naturally a submissive. We began to exchange texts that explored this and it really excited me. Incidentally I am again reminded of my behaviour as a child where I regularly got my friends to spank my bare bottom as part of our play. I now recognise that they were definitely sexual feelings that I experienced and enjoyed then which is why I was doing it. He was the first person to really release this side of me as an adult to which I am grateful. So we indulged in a sub dom relationship for a few months. There were a few different scenarios we played with but I shall now just talk about this one.

He had given me the ball gag as a present which he had carefully wrapped up using the liquid latex as decoration. I was under strict instruction not to open the present until he told me to so it stayed on my shelf for quite a while, building my tension and excitement about what it could possibly be! Eventually he told me to open it and then he gave me the instructions to make this video with the ball gag in my mouth. I could not wait to get home and make it for him and please him with how well I did it. Everything you see in the film is me making sure I am following his instructions to the second. You can see how much this turned me on!

I really feel a liberation in giving someone exactly what they want. As long as it is within my own personal boundaries. But I’m yet to even find out how far I will go…I sort of know but am open to the moment! I enjoy giving the dom complete freedom to go as far as they want to go without judgement. It feels like a lovely gift to give and I equally get pleasure and satisfaction.

We are not really in a relationship anymore. He is a traveller and I did not want to belong to someone at that time. But we are still friends and have a little contact from time to time. I will always remember him because I explored a lot of things for the first time with him. And I am very glad that he was my first shoot.
